Nectarine
The nectarine is a stone fruit orientated from Spain and Italy, most commonly eaten when soft. It has a smooth, soft, pinkish skin and orange flesh on the inside which is soft and juicy to the bite when ripe. Within the centre, it has a hard, bumpy stone which is inedible. The nectarine is available throughout May – September. During these months we think it’s a great addition to your fruit and vegetable box as a summer fruit. You’ll also find our nectarines within our pre-packaged fruit and veg box when the season is right.
